Account Management

The following information is for account administrators

Institutions must purchase an online or print and online subscription in order to access Society for General Microbiology Journal content online. All online subscriptions will need to be activated by the library administrator before library users can access current full text content.

The links below will help you to activate; manage your account and view your usage statistics.

Activate your online subscription

To activate your online subscription, click here.

In order to activate your account, you will need:

Your Customer Number

Your contact details; where possible please provide an email address that is not personal to you (e.g. library@institute.edu)

A Username and Password; this is for library administrator use only, and should not be passed on to your users

The IP addresses that you want to register. Please ensure that you register only the IP addresses authorized according to the terms of your licence. As online access can only be provided by IP recognition, it is important that you complete the second part of the registration process (by adding your IPs)

Viewing and Altering your Subscription

Sign in to your account using your Administrator Username and Password here

To change the mailing address for your print journal

Send an email to jsales{at}sgm.ac.uk and include your Customer Number; journal title; OLD ADDRESS and NEW ADDRESS.
