Abstract
A procedure for preparing actinomycete DNA samples for pulsed-field gel electrophoresis is described. When this method was used, DNAs from strains belonging to the genera Streptomyces, Kutzneria, Dactylosporangium, Microtetraspora, Actinoplanes, Saccharothrix, and Micromonospora were successfully restriction digested with infrequently cutting enzymes, such as Dral and Asel.
