Minute 4. Minutes of the previous meeting.
Copies of the minutes of the previous meeting held in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on 8 September 2004 [Vreeland & Ventosa, Int J Syst Evol Microbiol 55 (2005), 22312232] were made available to all attendees.

Minute 5. Elections of Chairman and Secretary.
Dr Antonio Ventosa was nominated for a second term as Chairman, and Dr Russell H. Vreeland was nominated for a second term as Secretary. Both candidates were approved by the attendees.

Minute 6. Election of new members.
Dr Victoria Bejar was elected unanimously to formal membership of the subcommittee.
