Cap structures. Cap 0 structures lack the 2′-O-methyl residue of the ribose attached to bases 1 and 2. Cap 1 structures have a 2′-O-methyl residue at base 1, whilst cap 2 structures have a 2′-O-methyl residues attached to both bases 1 and 2.
